Outlook 2003 autocomplete email

Some of my Outlook 2003 New emails automatically completer the email address
(or show choices) when I start typing the TO:  address.  However, some do
not.  I want to tie the TO: autocomplete using my Contacts emails.

Why does it appear to work some of the time, whereas with other emails in my
Contacts it does not?

Thanks,  Steve

Answered countless times here. Autocompletion has nothing to do with your
Contacts. It uses a cache consisting of the addresses of your previous
recipients.

Russ, thanks for the response.  So, is there anyway to tie in my Contacts
email address with the TO: Email address?

In my Address Book I show all Contact email addresses.  Does this do
anything for me helping me get an auto complete for sending an email?

Thanks

If you want to load all of your contacts into your autocompletion cache,
open the COntacts folder, select all items with CTRL-A, then click
Actions>New Message to Contact.  A new message window will open with your
Contacts in the To field.  CLick "Check Names" or press CTRL-K.  This will
recolve all of the addresses and add the entries to the autocompletion
cache.  Close the new message window and discard the changes.

You can easily populate the cache by simply resolving a message to all your
Contacts, but you cannot tie the autocompletion cache to your Contacts.
