Shared Contacts/Distribution Lists

Hello,

I have many distribution lists set up and would like to share them between
myself and several co-workers. This way if one person makes an update, that
update automatically shows up on everyone's computer.

I think I have figured out how to share a contact list, but now I need to
figure out how to address an e-mail to that contact list.
I normally click the "To" button, which pops up the "Select Names" box. Then
I use the drop down menu to select my contact list, which then shows all my
separate distribution lists. I cannot figure out how to make my shared
contacts or "Other Contacts" (as they are listed in the Contacts tab), show
up when addressing an email.

Sharing contacts seems like it would be a common issue - I am suprised that
Microsoft does not have better documentation/instructions on how to
accomplish this type of task.

FYI - our company uses the Exchange Server
Thank You!

Micrsoft isn't the enemy here - there is copious amounts of documentation
out there. Why doesn't your company employ someone who has the skills to
deal with these issues. This issue isn't just a technology issue - its
mostly a people issue! Anyway, I'll give you a couple of tips:

(i) its sounds like you should be using Public Folders to achieve what you
want
(ii) to make your new Contacts folder viewable, right click it, select
Properties/Outlook Address Book and tick the box

There is copious amounts of documentation saying that it is possible to
achieve this, but nothing I have found gives a step by step explanation HOW.
I read everything I could find about sharing contact/distribution lists and
have come here as a last ditch effort. I wasn't saying Microsoft was the
enemy by any means, I was simply expressing my suprise that it is not more
well-documented.

Thank you for the tips, however the "Outlook Address Book" tab is not
available for the shared lists (which are listed under "Other Contacts"),
only the lists under "My Contacts." I will try to look more into Public
Folders, however I don't believe I have permissions to create new public
folders.

Thank you anyways for trying!

I don't know where the items you mention including "Other Contacts", "My
Contacts" or "Contacts Tab" are located. These are not standard references
to Outlook items - please provide more details.
