Do not have permission to update contact - 25 Dec 2007 19:22 GMT
So I exported all of my contacts recently to a file, and now it's telling me
that when I try to update my contacts, that I don't have permission to do it.
Specifically, when I try to save and close the record, it says:

"This item could not be saved to this folder.  The folder has been deleted
or moved or you do not have permission.  Do you want to save a copy of it in
the default folder for the item?"

Then I hit yes, and it says:

"You don't have permission to move this item."

Also, I tried updating the record in my phone/pda, and it saved the update
in my phone but didn't synch with my outlook.

Please help!

You must provide the following information for anyone to be able to provide
help from the distance of a newsgroup:
1. How you exported your Contacts and to what type of file
2. What information store you are using
3. What you mean by "update my Contacts" and how you are doing it (be
specific, including Outlook version and view in which you are working)
4. How many Contact Folders you have in this profile (use Folder view so we
can be sure you are looking everywhere you should)

Synch issues are not within the purview of this group.
