distribution list from outlook category

You can't.  If you have contacts categorized, there's no need for a DL.
Display your Contacts folder in the By Category view, select the category
you want and click Actions>New Message to Contact.

Hi, I've done this, Brian, but in my Outlook 2007, under Actions,
there is no "new message to contact", even when I select a category or
a contact. It is not even grayed out, it simply does not show up
there...
Any ideas ?

Look in the Create flyout.
