When ever I get a undeliverable message error back, outlook deletes the
contact that I was sending that message to.  Does anyone know how I can
disable this?

Outlook does not do this. Provide clear steps to repro. Include all
important details such as version, transport type, information store, and
from what view these you think these Contacts are vanishing.

Outlook 2003 on exchange 2003, you can recreate it by: create a fake contact
and send it an e-mail.  Once you get the undeliverable message back, check
your contacts and that contact has been deleted.   I'm not real sure what you
mean by view they vanish from, but it is gone from the address book and if
you just click contacts shortcut on the left hand side.

Nope.  It doesn't.  I just tried it.  I created a contact "Joe Whocares",
gave it an address of joe@whocaresanyway.com and sent mail.  I received the
non-delivery report and I still have the contact.  Non-delivery reports
simply cannot delete contacts.
