We have several users with outlook 2003 using a contact list in a public
folder on the exchange server.  several users have reported that they were no
longer able to find these contacts from the address book.  the users had to
navigate to the public folder and uncheck then recheck the box to use the PF
as an address list.  I have not been able to find any thing useful in the
event logs on the server or workstation.  any one have any ideas?

Outlook's quite good at losing track of its address books. I haven't heard
of this exact same problem before, but people have many similar problems
with their primary Contacts Folders.  Have a read of some of Russ
Valentine's posts and you'll see an epidemic of it.
