Hi --

We have 14 PCs running Outlook 2003 connected to Exchange Server 2003. On
some of the PC's when we add a contact with a local phone number, 555-1212,
for example, Outlook ads the area code so then number is saved as (999)
555-1212. However, on some PCs the area code is not added. I would like to
configure all the PCs to NOT add the area code as we have a new VoIP phone
system that integrates with Outlook for dialing. However, when the local
area code is included the phone system dials the local area code and the
call does not go through. Can someone help me to modify the configuration of
Outlook so the local area code is not added.

Thanks

Rich

You must misconfigure the Windows modem and dialing properties to not
include an area code.
