Adding Outlook Contacts

We add employees cellphone addresses in the email field of the contacts so we
can send them text messages thru Outlook.  Because we issue phones to
employees, I am having a problem adding a new employee with an ex employee's
phone address.  I have looked everywhere for the ex employee, but cannot find
her anywhere.  This contact list is in our Public Folders.  Does anyone know
how I can add someone's phone address for a phone that has previously been
used by another employee??

Thanks!
Pam

What version of outlook?  What happens when you try to add the new user with
that Mobile number?

Here are some tips about how to post questions:

We are using Outlook 2003.  What happens when I try to add the cell number
into the field is that it drops down and shows the previous users name.  If I
continue typing the phone number and tab to the next field, it removes
anything in the email field.

It works for me in 2007.  Are you running any add-ins?  CRM software, Plaxo
etc??
