In Office 2007 Contacts.  Have ADSL connection and phone is connected to the
modem port.  Phone a contact from outlook contacts and it dials ok and the
person answers and I can hear them but they can't here me.

Have verifed my speaker is working ok.

Outlook doesn't usually use speakerphones- you need to pick up the handset
to talk.

I'm plugging in the phone line to the modem port and it is working as far as
calling and me hearing the called but they can't hear me.  Also why does
contacts have the call option that makes a call via the modem if I had to
pick up the handset.

I have all my contacts in outlook and it's a simple task of choosing a
person and call.  It will also record a journal of my call if I desire.

it does the dialing so you don't have to - its not really meant for speaking
on the computer and it should tell you to pick up the handset. There are a
few speakerphone drivers it will work with correctly with, but yours is
apparently not one.
