MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / February 2008Problem with Search Contacts
I am using Outlook 2007 and trying to search for contacts using the "Search Contact" search box. I have well over 1,000 contacts. When I search for family members (people with my same last name), no one comes up - and I have a big family. I know my family members are in my contacts, duh. I already tried rebuilding the index from Indexing Options in the Control Panel over the weekend - did NOT fix the issue. I searched the MS Knowledge Base and could not find anything about known issues. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Michael S. State how you are conducting the search. When I use Advanced Find or use the "Search Adress Books" field on the main toolbar, Outlook DOES find the right Contacts. Get ready for this...my address cards were on filter! Come on, there should be an indicator that shows the results are being filtered.
