Hello,
One of my users has about 550 contacts in their contacts folder. He is
trying to add another contact to it, but it gives him an error message saying
that the folder has reached its limiit and to contact the network admin. Of
course, that's me. I didnt realize that there were limits on contact folders.
His actual mailbox is well below our company limit. Any ideas why this could
be happening? Or what I can do to resolve this?

Thanks

A Contacts folder should be able to hold at least 64K entries.  What version
of Outlook and Exchange are you using?

We are running Exchange 03 and Office 03.

What is the exact text of the error and exactly what do do you click to
elicit the message?

Hi Brian,
I believe I fixed his issue.
I went into his Outlook and I went into the properties under the Contacts
folder. I noticed that the field labeled "when posting to this folder, use:"
and his was set to Faxcontact.
I changed this to IPM.contact and now he is able to add and delete contacts.

If I change it back to Faxcontact and try to add a new contact, I get an
error message saying that the forms cannot be used and to contact the
administrator.

Can you tell me what the difference is between Faxcontact and IPM.contact?

We used to have a fax software program called Fax Sr. from OMTOOL.
We no longer use that software as it is not compatible with Office 2003, etc.

that's probably what installed the fax form you saw listed as the default
form. you can delete it using forms manager.
