Problem importing into Outlook

I've been running Office 2000 Professional for about 4
years now with no problems. I just had occasion to
reformat my hard drive and re-install Office 2000
Professional with no problems.
I run this same program on another computer and have never
had a problem importing my contact information from one
computer to another. However, when I tried to import
the .pst file I get a message that says "Properties for
this information service must be defined prior to use". I
have no idea how to define these properties. I've been
doing this same thing for the past four years and now the
program won't allow it.
Can someone please help me.
Thanks for any support.

Did you transfer this PST on a CD? If so, remove the read only attribute.
