All my appointments disappeared off my calander and contact list

Feb 22 all my appointments which I use daily for years disappeared off my
calander and now I have noticed that many of my contacts have disappeared as
well from the "address book" - both in outlook

I am using office professional edition 2003 - outlook

State the information store you are using.
State the steps you used to create the problem.
State when you last backed up your data.
