MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / March 2008How to switch ON AutoCorrection in Contacts? (Outlook 2007)
Hi In earlier versions of Outlook when adding contacts the application would auto capitalize the first character of a contact names. Outlook 2007 doesn't do this by default. Is there a setting I cant see or can't this be done? All the AutoCorrect options are checked including "Capitalize first letter of sentanses" and "Capitalize first letter of table cells" I'm guessing Outlook 2007's Contacts doesn't use AutoCorrect Any help would be great. It doesn't appear to be dependent on the AutoCorrect options, either. I click the Full Name button on the new contact form, enter "freddie" in the First Name field, then tab out of the field and the field's contents is replaced by "Freddie" SignatureBrian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] Odd. I've always had to capitalize names myself. Since most typers do that by force of habit anyway, I doubt it's a feature many need or use. It sure isn't in the current version.
