MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / March 2008Import Distribution List?
Using Outlook 2007. Our Outlook admin created a distribution list for me in the global address book. I have a list of 137 people I need to add to this list. Before I spend the next 3,000 years doing this manually, is there any way to import this list from a spreadsheet, flat file, access db, etc.? I tried pasting the list in the Add Users dialog, but it will only allow you to select users from the list. There just HAS to be a better & quicker way! > Using Outlook 2007. Since I am the owner of the list, I can add members one-at-a-time by selecting them from the GAL. You said that the Exchange admins created the list IN the GAL. Outlook cannot change the data in the GAL. If you are creating the list in your own Contacts folder from members in the GAL, then there shouldn't be any problem. SignatureBrian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
