I cannot get my contacts to show up in my address book. (I imported it over
from 2003.)

It is like I have a corrupted file. I have followed the helps menu by going
to TOOLS. ACCOUNT SETTINGS. ADDRESS BOOK. I double click Address book but
there is nothing there. I cannot add an address book and I cannot change
anything. I go to contacts, right click, go to properties, and then Outlook
Address Book, but I cannot check it as it is whited out.

I have tried to the repair function and it still does not work. Can anyone
help me?

Yep. If you'd read any of the MANY posts in all the Outlook groups you
would have discovered that importing is NOT the way to transfer data
from one Outlook to another.

Create a new Outlook profile, then read these:

thanks Gordon... But i am not as smart as you and the things i did, did not
help.

I made a new profile. I got rid of all old pst files. I set the new profile
as default. I followed the instructions that the link said. I now have all my
personal folders underneath the computer generated ones. But I still cannot
get my contacts to show up in outlook.

Instead of sending me to a link. Could you please give me step by step
instructions on how to fix this for outlook 2007? I don't mind uninstalling
and reinstalling. But I can't waste another day a work trying to figure this
out.

Sorry to be such a bother!

When you say you can't get your Contacts to show as an adress book, are the
configured as an address book? Here's how to check:

Right click the Contacts folder. Properties, Outlook Adress Book tab, Show
this as an Outlook address book needs to be ticked on. Is it?  If not, tick
it.  If you cannot tick it because it is greyed out, you need to configure
it. COme back for instructions or just read one of Russ Valentine's almost
daily posts on how to do it - this is a very common problem.
