I copied the .pst file that was working when it was in the subfolder. I just
ran detect and repair on the moved file and it didn't resolve the problem.
But you copied the file after you corrupted it with failed syncs, importing
and exporting. Repair the file. Detect and Repair won't do that. Use the
Inbox Repair Tool.

I'm not surprised. Now you understand why we post daily in no uncertain
terms that you do not export or import Outlook data. So I assume you do not
back up your data? That would be a good habit to acquire.
You can try creating a new profile. If that doesn't work, create a new PST
file and copy what you need from your old into the new. No matter what you
do, your activities are toast, but you will at least have folders you can
reset again.
