I stil have a full name button inside every Contact record.  What exactly
are you looking at? An open Contact? A view of the Contacts Folder?

Hi,
Sorry if my english is not simple enough...
Anyway what i am trying to do is create new contact in Outlook 2007 SP1 MSO,
but my Full name button seems to be missing (print screen
http://aycu19.webshots.com/image/45658/2002771643682662870_rs.jpg). Is there
anyway to make that full name button reappear?

This full name button went missing after i install Outlook 2007 SP1.

Thanks

What we're telling you is that no one has ever seen this or reported it
before. Can you provide any more details? Are you using any custom forms or
add-ins for example? Did you make any other changes to your configuration?

It is a custom form. Someone at your company has changed it.  Ask them to
change it back to the way you like it.

Dear all,

Sorry for the late reply. This outlook is in my home laptop. I never

normally just update program via windows update.

As for configuration wise i never change anything beside create pop account
to send and receive via gmail.

I already check the outlook and i dont find any custom form or macro
installed.

Thanks & Regards
Kun

Dear Russ Valentine,

This problem seems to be reported on 6/14/2005 9:14 PM PST by Alexander. You
can check the thread with Subject "Buttons 'full name', 'address' disappeared
when creating a contact"

Since you already checked the thread, why don't you tell us what it said and
why you think it is relevant to Outlook 2007 SP1 instead of sending us off
to do it?

Dear Russ Valentine,

From what i see from the thread, the only method to resolve this problem is
via editing the form, which I dont know how and dont want to mess up the
form. My question are how do i make the button re-appear since the original
form already have that button. Even when i load the original form, the page
still loaded without full name button. Is this some sort of bug?

Kun

Again, it seems implausible that you do not have a custom form. That would
be the only explanation for what you're seeing. There must be more to your
story. It's impossible to tell you how to revert to the default form or edit
the current one without knowing how you ended up with a custom form.

Hi,
The link contain a video regarding the original form.

First part of the video, I try to design the contact form by loading the
standard contact from standard form library. As you can see "full name"
button still exist on the contact form.

Second part of the video, I try to "choose" the contact form by loading the
standard contact from standard form library. As you can see "full name"
button already disappear.

Do i need to recompile the form or something?

The video is here http://www.driveway.com/p3i3u1z0z0

Thanks

Your question belongs in the programming group. That's where they can help
you with custom forms.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but my initial questions was "how do I make my full
name button reappear since I never edit the defaut contact form" I will move
this thread to programming then.

Thanks

#1 - Have you tried clearing your forms cache?
#2 - Have you tried running ScanPST against your PST file to eliminate any
potential internal errors?
#3 - Just to confirm, the default message class for this folder is
IPM.Contact correct? If yes, then logic would dictate that if you created a
new contact folder and simply tried to add a new contact to it - the same
issue should occur (to be completely safe, create a new PST file first and
then a new contact folder within new PST file). If it does, then the default
IPM.Contact definition has become corrupted or has been changed. If it
doesn't - than logic would further dictate that another issue exists not
specific to the default IPM.Contact form definition.

In reading this thread, sounds like that the ONLY thing that was done was
installing '2007 SP1. Have lost track of the number of times we've had
things reported stating that either "nothing" or only "one thing" was done
to find that other things were installed/done etc that the person didn't
think were important to mention which just happened to be the source of the
problem at the end of the day. Not saying that this is the case here but if
this was a generic issue with SP1 itself, logic continues to dictate that a
whole lot of people would have encountered the same problem.
