I have users in Mexico complaining that when they enter a phone number (818-xxx-xxxx) and save the contact, outlook automaticly add the country code (52) to the input number. When they synchronize their cell phone from outlook contact list, it automaticly adds the following + 52 (area code) + phone number so when they want to make a call it, a recording will reply it's a unrecognized number. how do i change auto complete of country code in contact? > I have users in Mexico complaining that when they enter a phone number > (818-xxx-xxxx) and save the contact, outlook automaticly add the [quoted text clipped - 6 lines] > > how do i change auto complete of country code in contact? Outlook's formatting of phone numbers uses the international standard and is hard-coded. It's possible that if they misconfigure their modem and dialing properties in Windows that Outlook can be made to misformat the number.
