When I save a contact to my client folder, the anniversary disappe

I am saving a copy of my contact to their individual client file and when I
go back in to check the anniversary has disappeared.  If I try to enter again
and save it won't let me.  

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Suggest posting some actual information. You posted none. Only you could
know what an "individual client file" is or what you are doing.
