want to send contacts and notes to new computer

I have a couple of hundred contacts that I want to transfer to my new
computer along with the attached documents and notations in the 'notes" field
that I've built up over the years.  What's the best way to accomplish this?

Copy your Outlook data file and open it in the other installation.
The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
