I am trying to import a PST file with approx 2,500
contacts into Outlook 2002.  I can only seem to import
pieces at a time (from 50 to 100 contacts).  The import
does not abort or error out.  It just does not seem to
import all the data at the same time.  The PC is a Dell
laptop with 256MB of memory.  Only Outlook is running --
nothing else in the background except for a virus
checker.  Is this a limitation of the software's import
feature?

I never use Import. Too many chances for errors.
Open the PST in Outlook and use the Copy to Folder... command to transfer
Contacts to your new PST.
