MS Outlook Distribution Lists

Several issues:
1. My distribution lists contain only name and email
addresses. How do I get other fields, such as addresses
in my distribution lists?
2. I have tried to send a distribution list to another
Outlook user following directions in the help menu. It
tells me to click Insert and Item..there is no "Item"
option. What's wrong?

1) You don't. DLs don't hold that kind of detail.

2) Make sure the message format is rich-text.
