I have a contact database in Access that i would like to
get into my Outlook. Can someone give a clue as to how
this is done.

Thanks

Simply use the import/export option from the file menu and select Access as
the external file type. Please remember that you can't import any
information to any user-defined fields in your contact folder or use a
custom form using the standard Outlook import/export function.

In Outlook, create a new sub folder under Contacts for this
new information.

While still in Outlook, click on "File" then select "Import
and Export", and just follow the instructions.

Make sure the Access Database you're importing from is
closed before you try importing.

Hopefully, you won't encounter the problem that I'm looking
for, which is that my e-mail addresses are not importing
correctly.

I suspect this a comon problem in Outlook 2002, as I have encoutered it repeatedly. The same access table imports fine in Outlook 97/98/2000 but not in Outlook 2002. It  an extra space appears left of the address, if cleared, one by one in the edit of the individual contact edit of the e-mail folder you can manualy fix it.

This is unaceptable and Micrsoft should post a fix of this BUG.
