Upon SEND TO MAIL RECIPIENT AS ATTACHMENT from word or
excel, getting:

"An error occurred while attempting to open the Windows
Address Book"
MAPI 1.0 [00000220]

Have been searching the internet for months.  Any help
much appreciated.

What is your default email program and Contacts Manager?
Outlook doesn't even use the Windows Address Book.

Default is OUTLOOK.  When I set it to outlook express,
can do SEND TO AS ATTACHMENT just fine.  Upon research,
works fine with OUTLOOK 98 and also 2000 in IMO mode,
just not workgroup/corp mode.

Please help, spending way too much time on this, but
affecting NT workstation and 2 other xp workstations.
Have internet mail and exchange server connection on all.

Thanks in advance.

Is the Outlook Address Book Service installed and configured correctly in
this Outlook profile?

Yes, outlook address book is installed as service.
Everything is stored on exchange server.  Problem is
local to pc.  When I logon to another pc, SEND TO AS
ATTACHMENT from word, internet explorer works fine.

Have uninstalled office 2000, re-installed xp (without
format), copied mapi folder from working pc, ran
antivirus, spyware remover, ran detect/repair, tried
officeupdate.com

any suggestions?

Did you recreate the profile from scratch?
