A user has set up categories for his contacts within
Outlook, all was fine and he could view them all when he
selected view by category. Then a week or two later, the
categories dissapeared. Although if you do a search for
them it will bring them up, you just cannot view them
under the view 'by category'. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Did you check the view settings for the By Category view to make sure that
it's still grouping on the Categories field?
