Other User's Folder's Can't see Contacts

i am sharing a user's Contacts using a microsoft exchange
server 5.5, so other user's can add contacts to his list.  
when they try to add a contact, it will show up on their
list, but not on the person that is entering it on their
computer.  this user has outlook 2002 though.

Sounds like the contact is being created with the Private box checked.
