I installed Office XP Small Business 2002 in my laptop
and when I try to email and press the "To" button it will
not bring my contacts up.  The page locks and when I
bring up Task Manager to get out of it, it shows "Inbox
Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft LDAP Directory, Untitled
Message."
I sometimes get the message'"The Remote Proceedure Call
Failed." when I get out of it.  Can you tell me what's
wrong?

Are you using and LDAP directory?  If not, then go to Tools->Email
Accounts->Directories->View or Change, highlight the LDAP directory, press
Change->remove.  Back up a few steps and select the option to Add an address
book - select the Outlook Address book service.

Close and restart Outlook and you should have your contacts back.
