The same way you did in outlook 2002.
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there

Russ, that's the answer that I have been looling for
also. It's sure hard to find when one only performs that
routine once every two years.
