Duplicate mailing labels

Some of my contacts are associated with two different
categories.  For example, a contact may be in my personal
category and client category and also in a category
called holiday cards.

When I filter the contact list by selecting holiday cards
and do a mail merge I get two labels printed for a single
contact name.  It prints once from the personal category
and once from the client category.

Is there a way to have only one label print even to the
contact is more than one category??

Thanks

Something doesn't fit here. How are you filtering a mail merge by category
and in what version?

I'm using Outlook 2002

I'm filtering by using:
View
 Current View
    Customize current view
       Filter
         More choices
             Categories
                Selecting " holiday cards

All contacts that don't contain holday cards as a
category are then not seen or printed.

Use the View by Category View instead. Works every time here.

Can you be more specific?  If I select View there is no
selection called "By Category View?"  How do I find the
selection that works every time there?

I don't remember that version. I haven't used it for 2 years.
Are you saying that when you look in the View dropdown you do not see "By
Category?"
I don't recall its being difficult to find. It's one of the predefined
views.
