Keying phone numbers in Outlook 2000

I had to reinstall Office 2000 including Outlook.

I just keyed in a new contact and when I keyed the phone &
fax # it does not seperate the area code from the prefix
and four digits.

A window appears called "Check Phone Number". The window
shows that the record has not been keyed in properly - but
normally Outlook does this for you.

Any one got any suggestions?

Thanks

Phone numbers are not masked correctly until you set you dialing location
correctly.
