I have a number of blank contact fields before the names
begin that I can't delete.  The letter tabs to the right
start with a field "123" then go to the letter tabs a, b,
c, etc.  It is annoying not to see the beginning of the
alphabetical listing.  Is there anyway to get rid of the
blank fields..thanks jm

Have you tried switching to a different view of your Contacts folder, like
By Category or Phone List, to see if you can weed out the bad contacts
there?
