I have successfully imported contacts into Outlook. Just
make sure the excel file is saved as a CSV file.
In Outlook you import the file (File, Import and
Export....From another program or file)
Then you will have to match up the fields from the CSV
file to the fields in the Contact form. But it's all
visual drag and drop stuff, so you shouldn't have any
trouble.

But, check this one out!
I exported my Contacts from an Outlook program on my
notebook into a .csv file. When I try to import my .csv
file of Contacts into the Outlook program on my desktop,
Outlook gives me a Dr. Watson and closes as soon as I
click on "Next" after clicking on the "Import from
another program or file" line in the Import and Export
Wizard. I am using MS Outlook 2002 (10.4712.4219) SP-2
on XP.
Interestingly, if I choose another type of file from the
window in the Import and Export Wizard, such as "Import a
VCard (.vcf) file," the application does not crash.
However, I do not have my contacts in that file type.
file type
Do you have any idea what might be the problem?
Thanks,
Art Macomber
