Hi NG

We've just moved from NT 4 with Outlook 2000 to Windows
XP with Outlook XP. With Outlook, we connect to a
Exchange 2000 Server Infrastructure.

Now users found a curious thing, when they open the
Global Address List and add a User to the Outlook Address
Book, Outlook copies the Contact as an Exchange Recipient
and another Contact as a FAX Recipient. So, in the
Outlook Adress Book, there are two contacts, one with E-
Mail and one with the FAX number, but identical names.

We do not provide services for sending Faxes, so this is
useless and very anoing for the user.

Is there a way to turn this behavior off?

Regards,
Reto

No it cannot be configured to not show faxes, you have to modify the Contact
for this user either by removing the number from the Fax field or precede
the fax number by an Alpha character
