In creating a distribution list, from my contacts, if I select a person that has a fax number, the contact shows up with the email address and with the fax number (as two seperate members). Is there a setting where the fax number will not show up as a member. Anyone else seen this?? Thanks.
How are you selecting these Contacts? The selection dialog in a DL allows
you to select individual electronic addresses separately, so you would not
end up with both email and fax in the DL.

I have a customer with this issue. I understand you an select them seperately. I'm verifying that when she select a contact that it does not put the email address and the "other fax" selection in the members list. I was just wondering if a filter existed to not include the "fax" information. Thanks.

The standard behavior for the Outlook Address book is to display all
electronic addresses (both fax and e-mail). That behavior cannot be changed.
The only way to prevent the display of fax numbers is to store them in a
different field or to disguise them (e.g., precede them with an alpha
character) so that Outlook won't recognize them as phone numbers.
There are also a number of utilities available that can do this for you
automatically. Some are listed here:
