backing up contacts

hi can someone please help me? i want to be able to save my whole contacts address book to a disk and be able to replace it if i have to format the computer and start over. thank you!

Outlook does not use an address book. All Outlook data is stored in the same
file. The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst)
It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
