Mail merge with Contacts bringing up Data Link Properties - how do I use this?

I recently had everything on my computer reinstalled, have
run all the updates and re-entered all the Contacts I
lost.  I wanted to mail merge some labels through Word
using the Outlook Contacts, as I had done in the past.
After selecting the Contacts folder that I wanted to use,
instead of the various fields and names coming up for me
to select/unselect, etc., a dialogue box came up "Data
Link Properties."  This box had the following tabs:
Provider, Connection, Advanced, All.

The Provider tab said "Select the data you want to connect
to" and beneath that OLE DB Providers and a list of
various providers(I have no idea what any of this is or
what I was supposed to select).  The Connection tab
said "Specify the following to connect to Access data" (I
do not have the program Access on my computer but don't
know if that's what it was referencing).  Then it had 1.
Select or enter a database name.  2.  Enter information to
log onto the database.  There was a button to test the
connection and that brought up an error box
saying "Microsoft Data Link Error - Test connect failed
because of an error in initializing provider.  Disk or
network error.

I am not networked and I don't know why it's looking for
links and log ons when the information is right here on
this computer, or why this has changed.  I did just check
this on my home computer this morning and apparently that
is doing the same thing, so this must be something one of
the updates has done.

Post your default mail and Contacts Program.
Post the steps you used to configure your Outlook Address Book.
Post all software versions.
