Cannot export address book/contacts. Please help.

I am running Outlook 2000 under Win2k. I want to export the entire contents
of my address book as a backup before I delete a bunch of inactive entires,
but the Files | Export option is not active (dimmed). What am I missing?

Never mind, I figured it out. I was trying to export the contacts while
Outlook was still on my inbox. Silly me.
