Zip code won't default in Outlook Mail Merge

I've managed through much study to figure out how to
start a mail merge in Outlook to a form letter in Word.
What I want to know is why in the "AddressBlock" won't
the zip code stay in the default window.

What I mean is this. Every time I print a letter from
the Outlook data base, the zip code will not print. OK,
well I solved the problem. I'm right clicking on
the "addressblock" in the letter and selecting "Edit
Address Block" in the drop down menu. Then I select
the "Match Fields" button. Then in the "Match Fields"
dialog box under the catagory "Postal Code"
the "ZipPostal Code" is not selected, so you have to open
the drop down list and scroll through about 100
catagories to get to the very bottom and
selection "ZipPostal Code." How do I get that "Postal
Code" catagory to default as "ZipPostal Code"? Thanks in
advance. I've read books, checked the search of
microsoft and nothing.

I did find that bar code will not print, but microsoft
does have a fix for that. So please don't tell me to
search more, because I've been searching to solve this
problem all day.

what version of outlook did you use to create the contacts? field names
changed between one version. To see what the field name is, export the
contacts to excel and you can see the field names and which field your
contact's address are in.

I'm using 2002 for both word and outlook. But I'm not
sure what you are asking me to do. Do you or anyone else
have 2002 and could you see why the zip will not stay in
the field as I described in the prior post. If I export
to excel, what will that do? What am I looking for
exactly?
