I open up the "select names" window, and it is empty. But I know that I have
a couple hundred names in my "address book". Where are they? why aren't they
showing up in the "select names" window?

The "select names" window is where I chose which persons (email addresses) I
want to send the email to.. or to CC: or BCC: to.
