I have recently upgraded to Office 2003 and lost the
capability to input and display Chinese characters in
Contacts of Outlook 2003. Old entries in Chinese are
garbled and any attempt to switch to Chinese in the
language bar are disallowed. However, input and display
are still working for the text body of the message. I am
running XP professional. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Mark

Have you tried changing the 'Language for unicode programs' to Chinese?
It's found under Regional and language options in the control panel.

good luck
