My Outlook (2002, running on Win98) has gotten outta whack. I no longe
see either my business contacts or my personal contacts when I click o
the "to" button to address email - with the exception of 2 contact
added since the problem started.  I have:
1.    uninstalled and reinstalled the Outlook Address Book using Tools
E-mail accounts, selected "View or change existing directories o
address books",  etc.
2.    made sure the Contacts folder(s) you want to display are listed ar
enabled using the Properties, "Show this folder as an E-mail addres
book" box.
3.    restarted.

How can I get my email addresses back? Thanks

List the steps that created this problem. "Outta whack" does not occur by
itself.
It appears you are not displaying the correct Contacts Folder. Examine your
Folder List for others.

I have a similar situation, so I'll add my info in hopes that it will
help solve this, too.

Desktop systems running Outlook XP connecting to an Exch 5.5 server.
Server went belly-up, had to re-build new server from scratch.
Restored contacts to users mailboxes
Contact folders set to display as Outlook address book
Outlook Address book is set up (as it was prior to crash)
Users can see restored contacts fine, but they do not display in the
address book or in new e-mails.
Have verified that proper Contacts book is being displayed, but still
nothing.

May not be the same at all, since it involves an Exchange mailbox.
Whenever they rebuild by mailbox, I have to remove the OAB service entirely,
restart Outlook, re-add and reconfigure it to get it to work again.

A good suggestion, however, I did that and still cannot get any to
show up. Any other thoughts?

Nope. I don't know anything about Exchange. That's where the problem likely
resides if resetting the OAB doesn't work.
