If I understand this right, copying my .pst files copies
my inbox. What do I need to copy my contacts and sent
items to another computer and keep them in sync? I am
running Outlook 2000 on one and Outlook 2003 on the other.

Explain more completely what you want to do. One time transfer or continuous
synchronization? Are these two installations in a location where they could
access the same PST file?
BTW, you should never overwrite a PST file.
