Hi,
I had to reformat and load my system.  I copied from a backup the
outlook.pst file.  I'm using Outlook 2003.  When I start a new message I
can't get OL to complete the "To" field as it did before.  If I alt-k or tab
out I can correct the entry and it is there for next time, but it won't fill
out a name from the address book.

I have the "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" checked for the
contacts folder.  For the address book I have "Contacts" in the Show this
address list first; Keep personal addresses in and When sending mail, check
names using these address lists in the following order.  If I go to
Tools|email accounts|View or change existing directory or address book the
correct folder is shown.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?  I did a google search but no luck in a
solution.  TIA.

Regards-Michael G.

Autocompletion does not use your Contacts. It uses a cache of names from
messages you have sent, which right now is empty. You will recreate it as
you send messages.

Thanks Russ.  I guess it seemed it used my contact list previously since I
had quite a bit of email in the cache which must be cleared when I needed to
reload.
