I want to move the existing contacts folder and address
book folder (neither of which I can locate) to another
directory (in this case My Documents)

How do I do this?

Thanks in advance!

There is no address book in Outlook. All data is stored in the Contacts
Folder. You are forcing us to guess as to which Outlook version and
information store you are using. You should post that information when you
have questions.

Most likely your Outlook data is in a Personal Folders file *.pst file).
It's where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:

Do a search for *.pst and *.pab.  That will locate your
folders.  Put them in the new place.  In Outlook, goto
File/Data File Management and put the new location in.

I DON"T RECOMMEND THIS because it has caused a lot of
problems with a duplicate address book...  You can email
me to see if I solved it yet (or with a solution for
me  :)  juniper@spamcop.net
