display last name and first name in order

I have window 98 and office 2000 installed.
I did change the name setting order to last name, first name in contact
option. However in the select name menu, the contact still shows first
name, last name order.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you using Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode or in
Corporate/Workgroup mode? If you're not sure, look at the second line of
Help | About Microsoft Outlook.

To sort the Outlook Address Book by last name in Internet Mail Only mode:
Open the Address Book (from the Tools menu or from the toolbar icon), select
Tools | Sort By, and select both Name and Last Name.

To sort the Outlook Address Book by last name in Corporate/Workgroup mode:
Go to Tools | Services, highlight the Outlook Address Book service, click
Properties, and set your sort order there.
