In outlook 2003, when I click on new message, select
name, the lists comes up first name first even though I
have the contact listing as last name first. Need help in
finding how to change the order.

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
