I'm trying to export my contacts to Excel and receive this
error message: Microsoft Outlook cannot start the
Import/Export engine. This feature is not currently
installed. Would you like to install it now?

My Outlook 2000 software came with my Ipaq and the
software disk does not help.

What do you mean it does not help? Install the translators from the Office
2000 CD.

Thanks for your response. The install is looking for
data1.msi and when I browse for that file I can find it on
the Ipaq/Outlook disk (the disk is a combo type with more
than Outlook on it). But then I get an error that
states "data1.msi is not a valid installation program. I'm
sure you've figured out by now that I'm pretty much
clueless. I would appreciate any ideas that could help.

I suspect, then, that you were not provided and do not have the full Office
CD.
You would require the full Office CD to install all the collaborative Office
features.
