when i import the list from excel into outlook - excel
gives me an error that says "it does not recognize the
ranges"..also, when i manually cut and paste email
addresses into the bcc window for an outgoing mail it
gives me an error that says "it does not recognize the
contact". does anyone know a workaround without having to
manually enter the contacts into my outlook?

The data needs to be in rows, one per contact entry. The named range needs to cover all the rows, plus the column headings.
