I would like to change the way Outlook 2002 automatically includes the
e-mail address in the "Display As:" area when entering a new contact. I
would like it to display the name only.

Also, is there a way to do this automagically across existing contacts that
already have the e-mail address?

Thanks for any help,
Rob

All you can do is edit the Display Name for each individual Contact. I'm not
sure why you need to, since the Display Name is of no consequence. It was
changed to this format in response to users' requests.
